I'm relatively new to the world of Raspberry Pi and I'm eager to dive into a project involving a soil moisture detector for outdoor raised beds. I'm wondering if anyone here has experience setting up such a system. Specifically:
Feasibility: Is it possible to set up a soil moisture detector in outdoor raised beds using Raspberry Pi?
Recommended Hardware: What would be the recommended item to use for this project?
Data Storage: I also aim to integrate this setup with my Django app for data storage, calculation and display. Any guidance on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
Best Raspberry Pi Model: Which Raspberry Pi model would be best suited for this project?
Sensor Recommendations: Additionally, I'm seeking advice on the best sensors to use. Would wired or wireless sensors be preferable for this application?
