I am able to see all devices connected to my router. It does not show up wether it's connected via wifi or Ethernet. How do you know it's not connecting to the router? Have you (are you able to) check the router's info. to see what devices are connected directly? Or are you using something like Fing** on a mobile 'phone to check? You do not need to be logged in for a Pi to get an IP address (from the router).
...
I have done a lot of fresh installs of the os.
I used the imagery installer and configured it so that I can ssh into it and allow it to connect via wifi. I also have a adapter to allow Ethernet connection. No matter how I connect it, it is not connecting to the router. I'm assuming it is waiting for me to log in.
I should be able to ssh in to login, but can't cause it needs an ip. To get an ip I need to login, making it a cycle.
I'm just wondering what I'm doing different from others setting up their pi, where it connects automatically.
Trev.
