It kind of depends on how sophisticated the nephew is. WiFi can be disabled in config.txt. Access to that can be limited by setting up a user ID that doesn't have any root (sudo) privileges. Depending on how clever the user is, there are ways to defeat such a lockout. The same applies to having the router ignore the specific device. And, of course, making sure that your nephew doesn't have the passphrase that goes with the WiFi SSID (and that there isn't an open "guest" SSID available).Ah, I didn't think about the RAM. The parents are concerned about wifi access, so since the pi zero has no wifi I thought that would work well.
So, if I got the 4B, are there parental controls or anything like that?
