Being able to halve the 240p horizontal resolution would be nice, I think! If I force it fullscreen in Retroarch, I can adjust the core's display aspect ratio to an insane value to compensate for the pixel aspect ratio of the currently available 240p outputs, and the games look right. But that only works for Retroarch.

Obsolescence is usually not very straightforward. Like, CRTs are mostly obsolete I will admit, but there are still features, like multiscan, that modern TVs can't do. There's also the whole thing where stuff was made with that type of display in mind, so it looks off on LCD or OLED. Also CRTs give me less motion sickness in first person stuff.

But I also wouldn't begrudge your company deciding to remove the Composite output in the future. I just wish there were better options for converting HDMI to Composite. Currently looking at an OSSC Pro (waiting for more to be in stock), I've already got an RGBHV to Composite/S-Video converter to use with it.
