Ok. Real VNC Viewer (free) version 6.22.155 on my Win 10 laptop and iPad Air is running fine talking to a Pi2 running Buster 32-bit.
So, no need to change to tight VNC or other.
Also RealVNC has a "Lite" plan that is free for up to three devices controlled over the internet. (You are not using that??)
