General • Pico2 easy upgrade or nightmare?

Hello everyone,

I'm looking at the Pico2 and wow what a nice looking upgrade that would be for my PT52-Lua project. Before I dive in to it I need to test the water. How is the compatibility between the two processors? My project leverages customised linking scripts to get around stack size limits, The VGA code examples to generate video, as well as an overclock of 250Mhz to get things smooth. Would I have major code changes to make this all work or is this mostly looked after in the SDK and it's just a simple change the target and build again??

By what I've read and seen review wise this should be drop in an go, my linker script would need to be modified for the Pico2 we do have more memory to play with. Other wise I'm unsure, so I'm asking.

I can see giving Lua more memory as a huge bonus, I've leverage a lot of memory saving techniques and a custom memory manager to make this usable. The FPU and M33 would greatly improve performance. Just want to know a little more before I jump in.
