I'm using a C-mount 16mm lens that came with the Raspberry Pi high-quality camera, along with a camera that is sensitive from 400nm to 1700nm for a machine vision application. I also have LED lights that cover this entire spectrum, but I've noticed that the lens is blocking part of the spectrum. Photos taken with illumination above 1000nm appear black. I've tested other lenses, and everything works fine. I would like to understand more about this behavior of the lens—why this happens, whether the glass has some sort of IR filter, etc. I looked for the lens spec sheet but couldn't find any information.
