Same steps work.I do not have an extra monitor and what I want to do is "headless setup".I don't know why they'd tell you to use a browser to connect to the pi as there is no web server running on the Pi when you flask a new OS to it. That is why you get the browser screen telling you that it can't reach the page.
1. Flas SD card and SSD in computer.
2. Assemble.everything.
3. Boot with SD card.
4. Ssh to pi and change boot order with raspi-config
5. reboot.
