with the use of wayland, it is not recommended running gui apps as root/admin.
that being said, if you really want that feature, running the latest ubuntu has the newest. when you try and save a root file, it will ask for the password & save the file. no right click edit needed any more.
editing system files should require some thought, making users drop to command to do it makes them think.
