Use "clear"?

If you don't even want the last prompt showing, put it on the line before the rpicam program. A semicolon can be used to separate commands.

Code:

rpdom@raspberrypi:~ $ clear;rpicam-hello --list-cameras
Thank you for the reply.

Is there any way to get rid of the text that is produced in CLI after I launch the program, like verbosity control or some way to just blank out the screen?

What I'm after is to completely blank the command prompt in CLI for the duration of the rpicam-hello Preview Window. For example, if I type in:

Code:

clear;rpicam-hello --timout 0
I get the text that was present cleared, but I still get several lines of text from libcamera and libpisp, etc behind the Preview Window.
