Sure it is a SAR ADC. Says exactly that in the datasheet.
Good to follow this thread and read that most niggles have been resolved. I would have no problem with using the RP2350 ADC in general, but these days I find that as a hobbyist I lean towards sensor boards that can give me already-calibrated results. I think for embedded hobbyists in general, an ADC isn't a critical item anymore. Who knows how things will change in the next 10 years.
