Thank you for the links. There are 6 files. Which is the principal file for synchronization or do I need to use them all? And when you say "integrating it into a local copy of libcamera" how exactly is that performed? Your patience is greatly appreciated. We won't comment on future products or software features like this - with or without an NDA.Is there private forum where we can speak openly with the Raspberry Pi team regarding the potential stereoscopic capabilities for the Pi5 / CM5?Signing NDAs are fine with me. Ambiguity doesn't help when it comes to convincing investors that we might be able to create something better than what we have.
What I can tell you (as it's already made public) is that we have posted a series of patches to integrate an algorithm for software based camera synchronisation. You can find the patch here. Again, I will not speculate timelines on when this will be integrated into the codebase as it's partially out of our control. Also, this set of changes does not do anything for SBS output - that's still on the application. It only achieves multi-camera synchronisation.
You are welcome to try out the changes in advance by manually integrating it into a local copy of libcamera and see if it fits your application.
