I'm an idiot too ;-)... With my Verbatim PMT-17 on HDMI of Rasperry 5, the touchscreen doesn't work either. First data cable USB-A to USB-C from Raspi to USB-C2 and then external power supply to USB-C1 (as described in the manual). Still no touchscreen. What am I doing wrong? What was your solution?
user manual says that an additional power supply is required for HDMI with touch. What happens if you switch on the monitor first, boot the Pi and then connect the USB interface which carries the toich data (sorry, don't know if that is C1 or C2 as I had to access the manual from some dodgy website because the OP failed to provide a link)?
