I did contact them and waiting for their reply but what are forums for if not to ask for help and advice? Maybe someone encountered the same problem and could help.It is more up to GeekPi to help you there or take some sort of responsibility IMO.
Being over 30 years in IT industry I know a differenceAnd it is SSD not HDD.

HAOS is my final destination for RPi5. If you look at my first post you'll see I'm trying to get it stable under RPIOS which I can't.Also, HAOS might be different then RPiOS, so ask help on that forum.
Or first get the set stable with RPIOS. RPI5 is not a generic PC that is 'qualified' to run some OS already for 20 years or so. It is more like evolved prototype what you do/bought. We don't know what version of software, so a bit shooting in the dark.
I have a stable RPi 400 for my current HAOS setup and it's been working for past 3 years without any issues. Since then my demands have gotten bigger and more complex and I need an upgrade. Managed to get my hands on this device for a really low price so why not test it? If it works ok I'll keep it, if not it will be my play toy for a while.I run HAOS only in VM, so I am able to move it easily from 1 computer to the other. ATM I consider the RPi5 too experimental for 24/7 rather critical tasks in my house, but may be different for you.
Why RPi for HAOS, why not TC, VM, tablet, old desktop/laptop, bla bla bla....everyone has their preferences.
