I want to put the current Pi OS on my Pi 4. I have a linux Mint MATE 20.3 PC as my working machine. I have downloaded the imager .deb (ubuntu version) from raspberrypi.com/software, but it throws an error when I try to run it, needs libc6 > 2.34. Unfortunately, I only learn new linux features when I need them. I know Mint 20.3 is not the latest version, and if I have to update that, then so be it.
How do I find out what version of libc6 I have on my PC?
How do I update it to >= 2.34?
