This issue with the different serial numbers for RP2040 Flash vs RAM binaries has been fixed in the develop branch of picotool in this commit https://github.com/raspberrypi/picotool ... f7ee720401
At that point it's filtering for devices by the serial number, so it is failing to find any devices in BOOTSEL mode with the EEEs serial numberThe other weird thing is that it claims there was no device found in BOOTSEL mode.
When rebooting with -f, the USB Mass Storage device won't be enabled, only the picoboot interface. So this is expected behaviourThe 'dmesg' above is exactly how it ends - No '"USB Mass Storage device detected" and no '/media/pi/RPI-RP2 drive mounted.
