Interfacing (DSI, CSI, I2C, etc.) • Xorg and official touchscreen

Hullo!
I am running raspberry pi OS "bookworm" on a model 3B.
I am using Xorg to run openbox as a stand-alone window manager, no desktop environment and no graphical login, which means i start Xorg by running startx.
This all worked fine with a display connected by HDMI, but having switched to the offical 7" touchscreen, connected via DSI ribbon cable and powered through pinout, specifically Xorg is unable to find the display.
I cant really find any useful information about this for my particular problem, hence this post.
Again, to clear out potential misunderstandings here, i am not using a desktop environment and i am not using graphical login, what i want to do is run Xorg by startx and display this on the official touchscreen.

Clik here to view.
