Good thought. I don't think so.Maybe something was making it run at full speed, it becomes faintly audible when flat out, but practically silent when it's at lower speed.
It is mostly not on then just triggers for a bit when it goes above 50C it seems.
It isn't on for long. Also, it used to be quiet and I am running the same tasks i think.
I can't think why it has now gone quiet. Maybe it has worn away the bit of the fins that was rubbing?
