it is enabled; It's a global interrupt (each change on a MCP23027 pin configured as input will trigger an interrupt)no need to wait for me for any feedback. This is out of curiosity for me, but not high prio. I will simply evaluate the device to see if I can use it in future projects. So I wait until @aBUGSworstnightmare has the device in front of him thanks for the effort and help
how can i enble than the interrupt it's unclear to me
What I want to look at is a different topic. Need to investigate into that first to see if I have the right understanding of this device capability.
Note: after reading the datasheet I come to the conclusion that this feature is not what I've expected, an interrupt to be triggered only when the related inputs equal a preset bitmask.3.5.4 DEFAULT COMPARE REGISTER FOR INTERRUPT-ON-CHANGE
The default comparison value is configured in the DEFVAL register. If enabled (via GPINTEN and INTCON) to compare against the DEFVAL register, an opposite value on the associated pin will cause an interrupt to occur
