Thanks for the reply. I tried running that wire and connecting it to 3.3V but unfortunately it didn't help.
The thing is, it works on Bookworm out of the box, so this additional wire shouldn't be needed. I tested that there is no i2c_designware issue and screen is up. Bookworm kernel must have something enabled that I am probably forgetting, to my view.
