I've never tried PiKVM; but I had a look on their website.
It seems that it uses its own distro..based on Arch Linux...though they say that they do have plans to move to Raspberry Pi OS. NB...
Apparently it doesn't currently work on a Pi5....though; frankly, a Pi5 would be total overkill anyway!
I have used Pihole on non Pi Linuxes and on Raspian/Pi OS and combined it with router functionality and that worked fine...though getting it to co-exist with network manager added some complications...
So I see no reason why it wouldn't work...but I don't actually know for sure. A better place to ask the question might be the Pi-Hole forums..
