Hi,
The dc - dc converter is rated at 5A.
I have indeed set:
usb_max_current_enable=1
in config.txt
I have seen no signs of trouble with the SSD. The system works fine until (as it heats up) the Mouse and KB stop working and the screen goes blank.The screen itself is rated for a max ambiant temp (of the air around it) of 80C: it's nowhere near that - I have temp sensors in place.
It is noticable that, when I boot the Pi 5, I get a warning message to say the power supply is inadaquate, even though usb_max_current_enable=1. Is this normal, or does it imply that the setting in config.txt is being ignored.
I'm running the Pi 5 now to check at what temps the Screen, Mouse and KB switch off.
Peter
