Ok, well don't forget, each LED colour requires 20mA at full brightness, so that's 80mA per block. If you turn on ten of them at full brightness you'll need almost an amp from somewhere. If you have insufficient power then the LEDs will behave inconsistently, and you might brown-out the Pi and crash it.
