Usual things to be aware of:
  • Wattage ain't everything. A 100W rated PD supply may still only deliver 15W to a Pi, especially a 4B which doesn't negotiate PD. (FYI to get 100W out of a PD supply you need to supply 5A at 20v to the sink. Neither the 4B or 5 support that).
  • Current is pulled not pushed. In the absence of a dead short a device will only pull what it needs.
Powering a 4B should be fine. A Pi5 is more picky. It the PD source doesn't have a 5A@5V mode it will restrict total current available to downstream USB devices. A properly compliant PD supply shouldn't damage the Pi5 without that mode as it is supposed to default to 3A@5V (15w) mode.
