Same here. I don't know whether the warning is new, or it's the first time that certificates were updated (and I noticed it). First ever certificates update seems highly unlikely, and other replies here seem surprised as well, so I guess it's new. Google brought me here: I also saw the Alpine discussion first. Strange how it's several years old, only(?) for that distro, and now it pops up on RPiOS. And strange how some thought Debian avoided it by doing the right thing but then others said Debian had the same warning just suppressed. So maybe that's it: the redirect to /dev/null was dropped in a recent update so now we're finally seeing it?
