Ok - FYI, I took a brand new Pico1 out of its wrapping and without rebuilding with your fix I downloaded the console version (without filesystem) and ended up with :

I have now got hold of a Pimoroni pico VGA demo board and I have built the VGA GUI version. I have also downloaded the following version :

Unfortunately, with both my version and the downloaded version I am unable to get any colour on my monitor. My SVGA cable is 1m long and works with my old PC on this very same monitor. This is the hardware spec of my monitor. I can't get up my attic to find another SVGA cable at the moment due to a push bike accident involving a total hip replacement (!)

One other thing. I have a couple of keyboards (Logitech K120) and an old Tiny PC (remember them) PS2 keyboard. They both work fine but if I press CAPS LOCK then the software hangs and needs a reboot.
