Troubleshooting • Re: Raspberry Pi Zero 2 WH Not Booting (No Matter What I Do)

Whatever I do neither they are connecting to my Wifi modem (which runs on 2.4 Ghz band) nor they give any signal to the HDMI screens I tried.
Also when I plug the micro USB to the USB port, I can't see anything in the Device Manager.

The wireless issue might be due to the Imager problem referred to.

The HDMI issue might be due to an HDMI screen that is incompatible with the default video settings in RasPiOS. (Although in that situation I would still expect your to see early boot-up messages.) Or it might be due to a faulty, or not connected, HDMI adaptor or cable.

The 'usb-only' test (no power, no microSD) on my Pi Zero 2 WH causes dmesg on my RasPiOS workstation to emit -

Code:

[150913.922461] usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 2 using xhci-hcd[150918.978473] usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71[150919.223768] usb 1-1: config index 0 descriptor too short (expected 55, got 32)[150919.225264] usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=0a5c, idProduct=2764, bcdDevice= 0.00[150919.225268] usb 1-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0[150919.225270] usb 1-1: Product: BCM2710 Boot[150919.225272] usb 1-1: Manufacturer: Broadcomdavid@cm58lbw64dt:~ $
If you don't get a similar device report you might have a faulty RPi Zero 2 W board. (Which of course would explain the lack of networking and HDMI.) But note that you need a full data usb cable ('Charge and Sync') for this test to be valid.
