I'm using a Raspberry Pi 5 as a server to set up a point-to-point network.do you have another Pi around? I'm always using a Zero for flashing CMx eMMC.
Would also make sure to delete all partitions on the eMMC (yes, RPI imager can do that for you, but seen people having bricked the eMMC chip)- using parted i.e.
would also update the Boot EEPROM for enabling network install. Then test that instead of trying to flash the eMMC via RPI imager.
I followed all the necessary steps and the official Raspberry Pi documentation:
https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentati ... spberry-pi
The boot and root partitions were written to a USB drive using Raspberry Pi Imager, selecting the appropriate OS and device.
When I try to serve the root filesystem via NFS, the system hangs at this message:
Code:
raspberrypi5 rpc.mountd[1443]: authenticated mount request from 10.42.0.28:939 for /nfs/client1 (/nfs/client1)Statistics: Posted by tiopablito — Mon Aug 04, 2025 5:24 pm
