I’m not sure what has happened, but when I use NoMachine to connect, I no longer see the usual mouse pointer — instead, it's a small black dot, which makes it hard to see where I’m hovering or clicking.
Is there a way to reset this?

I think there is little or nothing technically in common between NoMachine and Raspberry Pi Connect. (Other than the fact that both provide remote access.)
