Raspberry Pi OS • Re: unable to delete old user

Thanks for this detailed explanation.
I was already doing most of it.
logged in as david-pi, managed to make it directly log in when pi restarts.
david-pi has admin rights, i can't delete david, i get:

Removing crontab ...
Removing user `david' ...
userdel: user chupi is currently used by process 1067
deluser: `/usr/sbin/userdel david' returned error code 8. Exiting.

and ps -u david still yields:
