You're right, USB should be disabled. But it would be good if we can definitely blame the USB, in order to troubleshoot further.

stdio_deinit_all() reaches stdio_usb_deinit() in stdio_usb.c [line 255]:

Then again, it's a Pico 2 W, so things look pretty complex. Seems to be an ongoing challenge with MicroPython too:

Found nothing that says "just works" for Pico 2 W. I'm not a RP2350 user yet, so I'll just watch going forward
