That DTS is made for the red PCB LCDs, which are real SPI LCD devices, and use the panel-mipi-dbi-spi driver.viewtopic.php?t=380704&start=50#p2324377 might be worth trying as well
The waveshare LCD and its clones, use a SPI-to-parallel chip, so that the LCD screen can work in parallel mode, while it appears as SPI from the Raspberry point of view.
Waveshare LCD owners should keep using the Linux ILI9486 driver (which doesn't work for red PCB LCDs)
