if you just want to create simple sounds you probably want a buzzer, they come in all shapes and sizes and if you use multiple you can even play some fairly impressive songs on them, eg https://github.com/james1236/buzzer_music
because the rpi 4 doesn't have an analog output you probably need a Bluetooth sound module or some sort of pwm controllable class d amplifier to (properly) use a speaker, but that sounds overkill for simple sounds
