At the moment if we go to www.raspberrypi.com and click 'Software' the browser window is filled with the text starting "Raspberry Pi Imager is the quick and easy way to install Raspberry Pi OS and other operating systems to a microSD card, ready to use with your Raspberry Pi." and the download links.
However, it's funded the unreliability doesn't reflect well on the company. I shouldn't have to hang around this forum to get pre-warned about problems. New users may not know to do that.
