I am doing research to put together a car audio system using a rp at its heart. I would like to connect a blu ray player to the rp but am concerned about the access speed. I know that a rp is capable of playing a movie smoothly - continuous play - but what would be the response if I had, say 1,000 songs on the blu ray disk and it had to skip around to find the next song? Are there any hardware upgrades to make it better? I want to use a blu ray disk so that I can store digitized maps and other information on it. I am not worried about any of that.
