Glad it's working. Sorry I broke your system. For future reference, whenever I mess with fstab I always use `systemctl daemon-reload` followed by `findmnt --verify` before I reboot.
nofail and a read only mountpoint is a handy fallback for everything that isn't essential for booting. Read only so you don't accidentally fill up your root partition - I'd rather have a process/service fail than have an entire system become unstable.
