After some more research, I have come across something rather interesting. I stumbled upon this link:

It says that it works with bookworm, and after much research/trial and error, I realized that I am running the latest raspberry pi 64 bit OS lite, trixie. The drivers only work with bookworm, from what I can tell, and from the outputs I received.
If I were to install a previous image of 64bit OS lite onto my board, and then configure the drivers using the waveshare guide, do you think I will be able to get it to work?
I am slightly hesitant to recompile a new image because I have spent many hours configuring emulators to run on my current OS, Retropie built on top of official OS, but I will give it a shot if this will get the SPI LCD screens working. (From what I can tell, the SPI LCD screens I have match the waveshare guide exactly, minus the touch part, so I think I might be almost there)
