I also searched it up and it said in order for the pi led to turn green you need a micro sd cardAlso could the problem be the sd cardSo, to try and clear my confusion:
- Pi5
- Official PSU
- The ugreen USB cable is no longer relevant.
- Pi does nothing on application of power and does not respond to the power button.
Next troubleshooting step:Do you get the diagnostics screen?
- Disconnect everything except a know good HDMI cable and monitor
- Remove SD card (or other boot media)
- Apply power
If you don't, if the LED remains red, and it doesn't respond to the power button it's probably time to replace the Pi.
I don't think it's getting that far. Please, just do the test I mentioned above. If it doesn't pass that the state of the SD card is irrelevant.
