Troubleshooting • Touchscreen not operating correctly

Hello, I'm attempting to wire a touchscreen instead of placing it on top of the Pi 5 since I had other connections I wanted to make.

I purchased this touchscreen https://www.amazon.com/CUQI-Touchscreen ... r=8-1&th=1 and followed this guide https://www.lcdwiki.com/MHS-3.5inch_RPi_Display as directed to install the drivers and guide my wiring, since a majority of the wires are not connected. It was able to power on up to this state, and now I'm having trouble pinpointing the error, that is, lines forming on the screen, and it is not showing the Raspberry Pi desktop as it would when connected to hdmi (although the touchscreen works fine). I used a breadboard to connect the two 5V, two 3.3V, and the other ground pins from the Pi to the touchscreen; the rest I used standard wires to connect.

Anything in specific I should be looking at to correct this problem? Thanks in advance for any help!
