Not to go on a completely different tangent too much, but I bought a 256GB one in Japan, and on the packaging it says "Made in Taiwan, China"... Uhm, what? That's not good optics. Feel free to send me to a different thread as I don't want to inject a political discussion in this technical thread. It seems to be a little sticker, perhaps under it says what it should be... bought through one of the official distributors here (KSY).
What's your issue? The official product page plainly shows the label saying "Made in China".
The main SBC boards are made in South Wales, but the same isn't true for all the accessories.
Sorry, wrong thread perhaps, I was talking about the USB drive. Anyway, I don't have an issue with the thing being made in China *or* Taiwan, but the fact the sticker implies that Taiwan is part of China is, to put it politely, a contentious issue. It's the first time I see such a thing and likely it just says Made in Taiwan under the sticker. I can peel it off if you like. See picture. Is it strange to raise this as an issue?
