Hi.
I would like to turn my static name tag sign, which is mounted by my office door, into a informative display.
I plan to use a TFT display (5 or 7 inch) connected to a Raspberry PI (preferably a Zero 2W) thru HDMI (video) and USB (power) cabling.
This would probably be treated as a client.
The function of this, is to (obviously) show my name and maybe phone number on the display by my office door.
In case I am out of office one day, I would like to send a signal thru SSH to a Raspberry PI server, which again updates my info display with "out of office", "home sick", "home office today", "vacation until 3rd of August" or similar info.
Since I am using a TFT Touchscreen as display, it would be a nice touch to enable my colleague to "touch" a "get well soon" icon on the display, to send me a greeting in return while he/she is watching that I am under the weather one day.
(But that is secondary).
I have just started to read a bit up on Python Socket.IO and thinking maybe this will do the trick.
I will use Python as my coding language.
Can anyone please guide me to some good examples or some information on how to achieve this?
Best regards,
