I think you're going to have to add some external circuitry to elongate the pulse. Maybe something like an "ideal diode" charging a capacitor, and some way to eventually discharge the capacitor, but I don't know if any ideal diode implementations are fast enough. If the amplitude has some minimum like 0.7 V or more, maybe you could use a non-ideal high speed diode and account for the forward drop.
