I made a custom power cable and I conected only the 2 power wires... I have a 5V/3A power supply and a USB cable that does not work for data, so I cut the conector and solder the wires to the power supply. But it's strange... It seems that the red wire is for GND and the black one for +5V. I tie them like this and I tested with a R Pico, and it works. So I gues it will be ok with the Zero too, because I measured the connections for power and they are the same on Pico and Zero. When I connect the cable to their power sockets (microUSB) and measure with the multimeter the wires on the other end of the cable for continuity, the red wire always comes to ground and the black to +5V on both devices.
