SDK • Re: Sending Broadcom HCI vendor commands

I would say events as responses to commands are coming from CYW43439 itself. Infineon on their forum stated it is not supported. Infineon datasheet for CYW43439 seems to be inherited from Cypress (and Broadcom > Cypress), so I suspect some stuff like that. There is even something about FM interface, but that is no operational. With Pico W for Bluetooth transport layer we need to rely on WiFi firmware, so driver will be in the path. When trying unsupported commands with cyw43 driver and without BTstack, I get also "unknown command" event. If there would be direct connection with UART interface, there would be no cyw43 driver needed, and events will be the same I would guess. Nice place to get HCI commands that might be supproted is AIROC™ Bluetooth® Test and Debug Tool. But there is no filter to check what's supported by CYW43439. Or maybe there is - it was updated from version I have right now. There is also Cybluetool, containing some extra commands that somewhat works (at least no "unknown command" events).
