Have you set the WiFi country code?

I have just tried the WPS Method and Unfortunately it was not successfull. My Router seems to have registered my Rasp but did not assign a IP-Adress to it, also it shows the device as inactive.
The scan from the rasp still shows my router, and the wpa status goes from scanning to associating to finally disconnected. So in the end no change in result :/
Do you have any other idea where to analyse the issue on the rasp?
Addition:
in the wpa_supplicant.config a new entry was created with my routers credentials and details, but still no connection
