Now that I've found out how to link to Dropbox images, this might help explain things better. With the wiring as shown, I stuck an oscilloscope probe on output B of the Mosfetti, referenced to Gnd on the Pi, and got trace shown, fairly nice square wave pulses at 1mS intervals (exactly as the python script calls for). I can't measure what the stepper driver output is doing (ie the NEMA17 motor connections) as my oscilloscope is only rated up to 30v.

The suggested typical connection shown in the driver data sheet shows an NPN transistor, and MonkMakes tell me that their N-type mosfets can be connected in exactly the same way. What they don't say is what to do with the +ve terminals on the Mosfetti Board:
