Troubleshooting • Can't boot from ssd

Hi. I have a Raspberry Pi 5 and a Samsung M.2 2230 256GB NVMe SSD. Before installing it on the RPi, I set up an x86 Linux on the SSD and thoroughly tested it on my PC.

On the RPi, I installed Raspberry Pi OS, updated it along with the firmware. The SSD is detected and works—I can mount and use it. After that, I tried several different methods to install the OS on the SSD, from a simple DD copy to a full installation from an image. I also tried other OS(arch-arm), played around with firmware/config.txt, and modified rpi-eeprom-config. The result is always the same: the boot process starts but then freezes. If I mount the drive and check the logs, they're either empty or contain only the last logs from the OS copied via DD.

Without a logs, I can't grasp the root of the problem and don't know what to do next. Maybe you have some ideas?
