i assume you mean a MicroSD adapter to usb.
once you have that, you can use PI-imager (see Software on the PI web site) to write the card.
OR:
if you have a wired ethernet connection, and a keyboard attached you can install from the internet.
power up, hold the left SHIFT key.
a red and white screen should appear, it will download the installer.
Note this works ONLY on a wired connection, with a keyboard plugged in (usb keyboard)
- not sure if it works with wireless keyboards
