Hi,
Got my new Pi5 8gb, have an sd card for it 256gb. Using the imager tool grabbed the OS recommended, flashed it onto the sd card, and inserted. Turned on the Pi (only hdmi cable and sd card connected) and it loads bios, says trying partition: 0, then loses signal and sits there with the power light sitting green, flashing off every 0.5s. Apparently means cant load OS.
Issue is, im 6 hours deep now, have updated the BIOS twice, tried 3 versions of OS, a 2024 os compatible with the 5, and the ubuntu LTS OS. All of these have not worked, exact same issue every single time. Tried from USB, same issue. Card worked on another Pi so i KNOW it works.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or is there something obvious im missing. Followed everything exactly as the instructions said and going slightly insane trying to get this thing to work.
How are you supplying power to your RPi[5] board?
(it's only a matter of terminology, but strictly speaking the RPi boot process does not involve a 'BIOS.')
