Punch a hole in the box. A "sealed" enclosure will warm up during the day, then at night the air inside will contract, drawing in moist air, even against the best seal. This moist air will condense inside the enclosure. The next day, the expanding air will not be sufficient to push out the condensed liquid, but the cycle will repeat, and the volume of liquid will increase over time.
A hole at the bottom of the box allows moisture to drain. If it's small enough, bugs won't enter.
